Stephanie Livshitz is a clinical psychologist currently working at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility. Dr. Livshitz earned her B.S. in Psychology from Drexel University and her PsyD in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University. She has received training in police and correctional psychology, substance abuse treatment, and has worked with at-risk adolescents through a diversionary program. Dr. Livshitz has also worked with the crisis response and SWAT teams within multiple police departments in South Florida doing hostage negotiation trainings. Working with adolescents in the communities, incarcerated populations, and law enforcement personnel has helped her appreciate the importance of reaching people at a young age and the benefits of having a collegial relationship between police and the community. Dr. Livshitz was drawn to WYSM as she believes its powerful message has the potential to effect real change and she is excited to be a part of it.
